In Asia, goji is known as "The Happy Berry." It has historically been used in Asia to uplift and brighten one's mood. It is said that consistent consumption of goji "brings about a cheerful attitude." *
Replete with an abundance of polysaccharides, goji supports healthy energy levels by providing concentrated nutrients for cells. Goji is also an adaptogen, which supports the body during times of stress and fatigue. *
Historically goji has been used to support sound and restful sleep. As a natural secretagogue, goji supports the body's endocrine and glandular systems, which play important roles in healthy sleep patterns. *
It is believed that goji's ability to support immune system function may be attributed to the naturally occurring Lycium barbarum glycoconjugate polysaccharides (LBGPs). These nutrients support the different classes of immune cells, supporting healthy cell function. *
Each serving contains 30,000 mg of pure goji; all five known lycium barbarum polysaccharides; pure juice of The Happy Berry
Q: How many carbohydrates/sugars/calories are in the GOJI100™ ? How do we know or how do we test for the polysaccharides in the goji?
A: GOJI100™ contains about 2.9 grams of carbohydrates per 1 oz in the form of polysaccharides. The amount of calories would be about 12Kcal/serving. We use HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) Analysis which provides us with a "fingerprint of authenticity."
Q: What does ORAC stand for?
A: ORAC stands for oxygen radical absorbance capacity. It is a method of measuring antioxidant capacities of different foods, such as fruits, juices, vegetables and spices, and the food's ability to absorb oxidizing free radicals. A higher ORAC score indicates a greater antioxidant capacity for the food or juice.
Q: Where does the goji come from?
A: The lycium barbarum berry grows in several regions of Asia. Our goji berries are wild harvested from our farm in the Ning-xia (pronounced ning-ja) province of China. In China, this is the only region where goji berries are approved by the Chinese government to be used as medicine.
